Mom, when I die, I'll grow again in your tummy, right?
mmmm... I don't know...
Why don't you know??
Because I don't know EVERYTHING, Alicia...
.... silence..............
And dad? Does dad know EVERYTHING?

Nuri,

Questions from children are difficult to answer, aren't they?

WM

Yes, indeed, they can be. And it's very difficult trying to answer them honestly, and at the same time in a way that they can understand.

WM, it's not only that they're hard, but the answer might be too sad.
"No, Alicia, you'll never grow again anywhere, you just won't exist anymore.."
She's kind of worried about death, lately. But she has this idea that you only die when you're really really old.

That's one advantage of believing in a hereafter: Alicia will exist in Heaven, or however the hereafter manifests itself in your belief, if there is a hereafter in your belief.

How old is she (did you already tell us that?)? That's what I meant by being honest and yet telling them something they can understand.

A true conundrum.
