Was any of that really German?
Amazing how serious and thoughtful Chaplin can appear (in his last speech that you posted) and how much he can just revert to comedy in this one.
That's why he was a good actor!
None of that is German, I believe.
I love the names: the minister of war is Herr Herring and the minister of interior is Herr Garbage
