Strange...

Yesterday afternoon I walked into the kitchen and started hearing this strange noise. I thought it was an insect (a cricket??) and tried to locate the source. It led me to the pantry, in a shelf where we keep our medicines. I started pulling out boxes, the noise was coming from a box of suppositories. It was indeed strange, I opened the box, and carefully dropped the contents. I found this device inside:

I have no idea what it is and where it came from. Nor does H or the girls. Strange indeed.

That surely is strange. It's difficult to tell from the photo, so tell me how large the device is.

It's about 4cm (1.6 inches).
opcions:
1-We're being spied!! Interpol, KGB, CIA...
2-It's from outer space. Aliens wanted to implant it in one of us but failed. HA HA HA
3-It comes from a broken toy... either H or myself or my sister?? put it in that box and completely forgot...

what do you think? ;-)

I like #2, Nuri. Cute!

I have no idea. Does it "chirp" all by itself? Sometimes electronic devices do that when their battery is running down. Or, is the "chirping" what the device was constructed to do?

It doesn't appear to be very sophisticated. Are those to gold-looking things buttons?

What about markings? Any words or numbers on it?

What does the other side look like?

It does sort of sound like part of a toy, but if so, there should be some mechanism to cause it to make a sound.

Keep me posted.

I haven't seen you on Observations lately. Been busy, or am I just boring you recently?

That it was found in a box of suppositories makes it that much more ... weird. I mean surely that isn't to be inserted :)

Those two gold-looking buttons are batteries. The other side is not that different...
Nzingha, I'd bet too it's not supposed to be inserted! ;-)

The device itself seems innocuous enough; I think the more important question is: How and why did it end up in a box of suppositories?

You didn't answer my last question. 8-)

Your last question??
I've been quite busy, but I have visited your blog, James, even if I don't comment, surely you've seen my footprints!!!
